WHY MAY DAY?

Unjust ICE raids. An unlawful war. The erratic whims of a President fueling millions in insider training. Billionaires who don’t pay taxes. Corporations that don’t pay workers a living wage.

All of this while American tax payers foot the bill.

We are living in unjust times, but WE THE PEOPLE hold the power.

No matter how small an action may seem, our economic actions are a collective force when we stand with working people and act in solidarity!

About the Protests

This is a no-host event. An ad hoc group of citizen volunteers are facilitating this opportunity for Marin residents to peacefully and safely assemble in line with their First Amendment rights.

A core principle behind all May Day Strong and Marin protest events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
