Another War?

Friends,

Like the majority of Americans, I am sick and tired of wars.

So let me be clear: I completely oppose Israel's invasion of Lebanon and condemn the declarations by Israeli officials to permanently seize southern Lebanon. I reject any U.S. involvement or support for this illegal invasion.

The participation of U.S. forces or the use of military aid to facilitate the occupation is a betrayal of the principles of self-determination and global stability. Any U.S. military action, continued sharing of intelligence, or the continued flow of heavy weaponry from the U.S. to Israel will only further destabilize the region, poison the environment, destroy families, and increase energy costs back home in our communities.

Our Congressional Representative should be leading on this issue, but so far, he has not made a statement in opposition to the invasion. Nor has he signed on as a co-sponsor to the bills in Congress that could put a stop to U.S. participation in Israel’s illegal war on Lebanon. Our District deserves better.

Can you send our campaign a few dollars so we can finish the primary strong and ensure a real PEACE candidate is on the ballot in November?

If elected to Congress, I will support and cosponsor legislation calling for an immediate ceasefire, an end to any U.S. participation in the illegal war, and an embargo on all weapons shipments to Israel.

We need representatives who understand that a truly secure America is one that invests in its people — in healthcare, housing, education, and climate resilience — not one that expands conflict abroad while communities struggle at home. That’s what the Rose Doctrine is all about: putting people, peace, and the planet first.

Thank you,

Rose Penelope Yee
